HunterTag Terms of Service
Rules and conditions for using the HunterTag platform
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Who we are
HunterTag S.r.l. (VAT no.: 14244060969) operates the HunterTag platform accessible through the huntertag.com website and related future mobile applications.
1.2 Acceptance of the Terms
By using our services, you fully accept these Terms of Service. If you do not accept all of the terms, do not use the platform.
1.3 Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with 30 days' notice through:
- •Email to registered users
- •A prominent notice on the platform
- •An update of the 'last updated' date
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
2.1 What HunterTag is
HunterTag is a technology platform that uses NFC tags for:
Bicycle protection
Identification and authenticity verification
Theft prevention
Alert and tracking system
Collaborative recovery
Network of volunteers ('Hunters') searching for stolen bicycles
Legitimacy verification
Checks for shops and buyers

3. REGISTRATION AND ACCOUNT
3.1 Registration Requirements
- •Minimum age: 16 years
- •Valid and verifiable email address
- •Truthful and up-to-date information
- •Acceptance of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- •Keeping your login credentials confidential
- •All activities carried out through your account
- •Promptly updating your personal data
- •Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access
3.3 Account Suspension and Closure
We may suspend or close your account if you:
- •Violate these Terms of Service
- •Provide false or misleading information
- •Use the service for illegal purposes
- •Do not use the account for more than 24 months
4. USE OF THE PLATFORM
4.1 Permitted Uses
- •Registering and protecting your bicycles
- •Scanning tags to verify authenticity
- •Contributing as a Hunter to the security of the network
- •Reporting thefts and assisting in recoveries
- •Accessing your account's statistics and analytics
4.2 Prohibited Uses
The following is expressly prohibited:
- •Cloning or counterfeiting NFC tags
- •Registering bicycles you do not own without authorization
- •Providing false information about thefts or losses
- •Interfering with the operation of the platform
- •Using bots or automated scripts
- •Violating the privacy of other users
- •Scanning tags for stalking or harassment purposes
- •Reselling data obtained through the platform
5. NFC TAGS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1 Ownership of the Tags
- •NFC tags remain the property of HunterTag until payment in full
- •Ownership transfers to the buyer only after payment
- •Improper use results in revocation of the right of use
5.2 Installation and Responsibility
- •The user is responsible for correct installation
- •HunterTag is not liable for damage occurring during installation
- •The warranty is void in case of tampering
6. HUNTER SYSTEM AND MONETARY REWARDS
6.1 Hunter Activities
As a Hunter you may:
- •Scan tags to verify bicycles
- •Receive notifications about thefts in your area
- •Contribute to the security of the network
- •Earn monetary rewards for successful recoveries
6.2 Monetary Reward System
How it works
- •Rewards are real monetary amounts set by the owner of the bicycle
- •They are paid out only upon completion of the bicycle's recovery
- •Payment takes place when the bicycle is physically returned to the owner's hands
Service Fees
- •HunterTag retains 35% of the reward as a service fee
- •The Hunter receives 65% of the amount set by the owner
- •The fees cover: platform management, transaction security, technical support
Timing
- •The reward is released upon confirmed recovery
- •Payment to the Hunter is made within 7 business days of confirmation
- •Payment methods: bank transfer or authorized electronic payment systems
6.3 Refund Policy
If the bicycle is NOT recovered within 12 months:
- •The owner receives a refund of 65% of the reward amount
- •HunterTag retains 35% for the costs of managing the search campaign
- •The refund is processed automatically when the 12 months expire
- •An advance notification is sent 30 days before the deadline
7. PAYMENTS AND INVOICING
7.1 Payment Methods
We accept: credit cards, PayPal, bank transfers. All prices are in Euro (€), VAT included.
7.2 Invoicing
Invoices are sent within 48 hours of purchase and include all the details required by Italian tax law.
8. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
8.1 Reference to the Privacy Policy
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We fully comply with the GDPR and Italian privacy law.
9. TERMINATION AND CANCELLATION
9.1 Termination by the User
You may terminate the service with 30 days' notice. Your data will be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
9.2 Termination by HunterTag
We may terminate the service in the event of a breach of the terms. We will give 30 days' notice except in cases of serious violations.
10. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
10.1 Warranty Disclaimers
HunterTag is provided 'as is' without warranties. We do not guarantee:
- •Uninterrupted operation of the service
- •Absence of errors or malfunctions
- •Guaranteed recovery of stolen bicycles
- •Compatibility with all devices
10.2 Limitations of Liability for Rewards
Our liability is limited to the amount actually paid. We are not liable for indirect economic losses.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
11.1 Ownership of the Platform
HunterTag owns all rights to the platform. Trademarks and logos are the property of HunterTag. We grant you a limited, revocable license for use.
11.2 User Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a license to use the content in order to provide the service.
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
12.1 Negotiation
Disputes must first be discussed directly. We have 60 days to attempt an amicable resolution.
12.2 Competent Court
The competent court is that of Milan. Italian law applies.
